FAMILY-RUN PAY-AS-YOU-GO CHILDCARE IN GODALMING

Meet the family behind The Crèche and find out why we started Godalming's first flexible, no-commitment nursery.

MEET KATHERINE

I'm Katherine, founder of The Crèche and a working mum to Dorothy, aged two and a half, with our second on the way. Before launching The Crèche, I spent almost 20 years in the advertising industry, where I learned what it means to juggle a demanding career and a growing family.

There were many moments when my partner Ben and I were both flat out at work and scrambling for last-minute childcare, not knowing where to turn. We had no nursery space at short notice, no family available and no reliable solution. That feeling of being completely stuck is something I wanted to fix, not just for us but for every parent in Godalming and the surrounding area who has ever found themselves in that same position.

That's where the idea for The Crèche was born.

OUR FAMILY AND EXPERIENCE

The Crèche is a family business in the truest sense. My mother has worked in the childcare industry for over 40 years, and my brother, a recent father of two under two, is part of the team too. Between us, we bring decades of hands-on experience and a very personal understanding of what families actually need.

We wanted to create somewhere parents could trust completely. A place where children feel at home from their very first visit. A setting where safety, warmth and genuine care come first, always.

OFSTED APPROVED CHILDCARE IN GODALMING

As a brand-new setting, we have already been visited and signed off by Ofsted, which means we are fully authorised to open. Our formal Ofsted inspection will take place within 18 to 30 months of registration, and we are working with a specialist Ofsted consultancy team to ensure we are meeting and exceeding expectations well in advance.

In the meantime, every policy, procedure and safeguarding measure is in place to ensure the children in our care are always safe and well looked after.
